Sunstar Hotel & Spa Grindelwald, Grindelwald

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. While the rooms offered great views of the Eiger and a wonderful buffet breakfast, they were noisy due to neighboring rooms. The service, although not consistently welcoming, had some positives like opening the ski room for us. The location in the center of Grindelwald was stunning, but the dining experience, although delicious, had its flaws with busy queues and unclear allergy information.

I lucked out with a lovely room upgrade, but the lack of insulation made it hard to sleep due to the noise from neighboring rooms. Overall, it was an acceptable stay for a 4-star hotel.

My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. The rooms were a bit dated and facing the street without a balcony, but they were functional. The check-in service was welcoming, but some staff members lacked expertise. The location was superb, right opposite Grindelwald First, but it was a bit crowded. Dining was of good quality with a nice food selection. The facilities were decent, offering what I needed for my stay.

The dining experience offers a wide selection but lacks clear allergy information. Facilities are well-kept and offer convenience for guests.
