Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. While the rooms offered great views of the Eiger and a wonderful buffet breakfast, they were noisy due to neighboring rooms. The service, although not consistently welcoming, had some positives like opening the ski room for us. The location in the center of Grindelwald was stunning, but the dining experience, although delicious, had its flaws with busy queues and unclear allergy information.
I lucked out with a lovely room upgrade, but the lack of insulation made it hard to sleep due to the noise from neighboring rooms. Overall, it was an acceptable stay for a 4-star hotel.
My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. The rooms were a bit dated and facing the street without a balcony, but they were functional. The check-in service was welcoming, but some staff members lacked expertise. The location was superb, right opposite Grindelwald First, but it was a bit crowded. Dining was of good quality with a nice food selection. The facilities were decent, offering what I needed for my stay.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the views of the Eiger were stunning and the buffet breakfast was wonderful, the early morning grass cutting work was disruptive. The ski room was convenient for storing wet skis and boots, but the overall layout with 2 rooms and a corridor felt a bit cramped.
The hotel is perfectly located directly opposite the Firstbahn gondola and in the center of town, offering a wonderful place to relax after a day of skiing. The rooms, although a bit outdated, provide air-conditioning but can be noisy from revellers. The service is generally welcoming and attentive but can get a bit chaotic during peak times. The dining experience offers a wide selection but lacks clear allergy information. Facilities are well-kept and offer convenience for guests.
The hotel is situated in a superb location, close to various activities. The rooms are simple yet cozy, with new bathroom fixtures, robes, and slippers provided.
I couldn't get enough of the stunning view from my room, it was so beautiful that I found myself just soaking it in on the balcony even on cloudy days. However, the overall experience fell short of the expectations I have for a 4-star resort, though I did appreciate the room being ready for me when I arrived early in the morning at 11:30 am.
The hotel has a mixed vibe with a unique blend of comfort and disappointment. The Asian-themed rooms feel a bit like a fancy youth hostel, but unfortunately lack in comfort and views. The location is fantastic, but the service level varies, and the dining experience has its ups and downs.
The hotel offers basic but clean and tidy rooms with an amazing view, ideal for relaxing on the balcony. The delayed operational hours can be slightly inconvenient for guests on their last day. Service is first-class and efficient, though reception can get flustered at times. The Alpine location is perfect for skiing and hiking, right in the village with access to ski domains. The dining options are delicious with stunning views, though the price may not fully meet expectations.
